Bento Expand Grid
A bento of seven field notes on warm paper under a serif "Slow crafts" title: a tall photo of a desk, a near-black tile with "1,284 pages" read this season, a photo of tea being poured, a little map of a riverside walk drawn in thin lines with a dashed route and an orange pin, a wide quote tile ("The hands remember what the mind forgets."), a tall photo of clay-covered hands and a wide photo of a reading room. Tapping a tile grows it in place into its own page while the other tiles are pushed away and fade, nearest first: the photo, map or number becomes the page's header and a paper sheet slides up over it with a kicker, a serif title, a byline, a lead, a pull quote with an orange rule and two photos side by side. Scrolling slides the sheet over the header, which drifts up more slowly; dragging the page down from the top shrinks it into a floating card under the finger, and letting go puts it back in its tile.
