Brush Ink Splash
The launch screen of "Sumi", a journaling app: on warm rice paper a loaded brush lands with a blot, paints an ensō clockwise until it runs dry into bristle streaks, then writes the wordmark "Sumi" stroke by stroke, and the ink bleeds into the paper's fibres with a few drops where the brush landed and flicked off. The sheet then slides up to reveal the journal's home screen: today's prompt, recent pages and a 12-day streak. Draw on the paper with a finger and the same brush paints under it; lift and it bleeds.
