Depth Field Gallery
Cards floating in space on a white screen, scattered in depth so the near ones are large and the far ones tiny, and in each view one card fills most of the width just off the middle while a dozen smaller ones float around it out to the edges. The cards make up an invented identity: some forty portraits, profiles, fashion shots and busts printed in black and white or black on lime, lime cards with a cluster of black dots of many sizes, near-black cards with icons drawn in white dots (a magnifier, a cross of arrows, a figure, a basket), dark cards with two glassy rows each led by a lime dot, framed posters with two lines of type over a portrait ("Where depth meets focus", "Light finds its level", "Still air, clear sight"), and an "aloft" wordmark with a square of lime dots. Each card is turned a little in space. Tiny tracked capitals sit along the top ("Aloft Studio", "Depth Field" and the card's number, "07 / 49"); at the bottom the card in view is named, a small note in capitals over its title, beside a small switch with a lime knob. The switch turns the scene to near black, the dark cards keeping a faint edge.
