Folded Map Card
The offline map of "Ridge Line Trail" in a hiking app (14.2 km, 820 m of ascent, 5 h 10 min) is a paper map folded in thirds, lying on a dark forest-green screen with a note about the sheet beside it. Drag it sideways, or tap it, and it unfolds in 3D: each panel turns on its crease with perspective, its face brightening and darkening with its angle while the creases shade, until the whole topographic map lies flat, with contour lines, a lake, a hut, Kestrel Peak and a title block. The route then draws itself on in orange, a pin drops on the summit and the elevation profile below rises bar by bar; fold it back and they go first.
