Roller Blind Sheet
A smart-home room screen, "Nook - Bedroom": a window full of morning sky above four room controls. The sheet is a linen roller blind: the blind rests half down at the sill with the scene presets printed on it; pull the wooden bead on its cord and it unrolls further from the roller (the roll gets thinner), the morning light through the glass glows through the weave with the window's mullions as soft shadows, the room dims, and the scene presets printed on the fabric (Wind down, Reading, Sleep, Wake gently) come down with it. Let go and it springs to the nearest detent with a bounce; a short tug from a detent lets the spring roller wind it back up. The header rolls how far the blind is closed.
