Shatter Glass Transition
A full-screen photo behind glass, with "Behind Glass" and "Tap to break · swipe back to mend" in small type along the top and, at the bottom, the photo's number ("02 / 04"), title and a one-line caption over a soft shade. Tapping the glass cracks it from the touch point: white cracks race out like a spider's web and a frosted bruise marks the impact, then the pane breaks into shards, small near the impact and large towards the edges, that fall and spin away with light glinting on their edges, revealing the next photo underneath as it settles from slightly larger and darker. Swiping back does it in reverse: the previous photo's shards rise from below, follow the finger and fit back together, and the cracks close up into the point they came from. The photos are a star-forming nebula, two jellyfish and a liquid-chrome study.
