Sundial Time Picker
A calendar's time picker, "Meridian - Pick a time": a limestone horizontal sundial seen from above, with carved hour, half-hour and quarter lines, Roman numerals and a bronze gnomon, under a dashed sky arc with the sun on it. Drag the sun along the arc, or drag the shadow round the dial: the gnomon's shadow swings to that time, shortens towards noon and stretches in the morning and late afternoon, and the light, the stone and the backdrop warm when the sun is low. The time snaps to quarter hours with a tick, and the readout rolls ("15:30"), with the sun's altitude and the end of the 45-minute event under it.
