Tap Ride Pass
The gate screen of an invented transit app, Riverline: on a night-blue page a glass reader puck waits under the title "Tap to ride", and the commuter pass (teal-to-plum glass, "Commuter Pass ·· 2048", balance $18.40) rests at the bottom. Drag the pass toward the reader and the reader's field lines bend into it while pulses run along them faster and faster; in the last few centimetres a magnet takes over and the pass clicks onto the reader. The pass then becomes the ride ticket on cream paper (Harbor Gate to Old Mill, fare −$2.75, the balance rolling down, "Gate 3 is open"), and Done collapses the ticket back into the pass.
