Tape Measure Picker
A height step in the onboarding of a fitness app, "Fitline" ("How tall are you?", step 3 of 6), where the picker is a tape measure seen from above: a rubber-armoured case with a yellow lacquered face, chrome screws, a belt clip and a lock button sits at the left, and its yellow tape runs out of the chrome mouth to the right, cupped and glossy, 72 pt wide, with millimetre ticks on both edges and a large number at every fifth centimetre (every tenth in red). A red hairline reads the value: drag the tape to pull it out or push it in, let go and it springs to the nearest centimetre, flick it left and it reels in with a whip. Above, a mechanical counter shows 178 cm with its units wheel turning with the tape, and "5 ft 10 in"; below, weight, stride and BMI update with the height.
