Ferrofluid Blob
A shallow porcelain dish of glossy black ferrofluid sits on a dark slate table under studio light, seen from above at an angle, with the softbox and a cool strip light reflected in the liquid. A finger is a magnet: the fluid heaps up under it and a crown of sharp spikes rises in a hexagonal pattern, tallest in the middle, leaning in toward the finger and trailing a fast drag; lift it and the spikes melt back with a wobble.
