Kinetic Type Splash
Kinetic type for a nightlife app's splash on a near-black screen. Huge condensed capitals in cream rise line by line out of their own baselines, letter after letter: "FIND", "YOUR", then a hot pink word with a soft neon halo that rolls like a slot machine, letter column after letter column, from "CROWD" to "SCENE" to "GLOW". The first two lines leave upwards, "GLOW" fills with a photo of a pink neon sign, and the word grows from its first letter until the photo is the whole screen. A welcome settles over it: "NIGHTJAR", "The city after dark, one tap away.", a line of copy and a cream "Get started" button; the button lifts a dark panel over everything and the type starts again.
