Neon Sign Flicker
A hand-bent neon sign hangs from one iron hook on two chains in front of a dark brick wall at night: "open" over "late" in rose and ice-blue script, beside an amber cocktail glass with a lime olive, the tubes mounted on a clear acrylic panel whose edges catch their light. A lit tube has a white-hot core, a glint along the glass and a soft layered halo; an unlit one shows its coated glass, and each word's ends are blacked out where the tube turns to its electrode. The bricks around the sign take the colour of whatever is lit, and the light moves across them as the sign swings. Tap a word to switch it on or off; drag the sign to swing it.
