Newton Cradle Swing
A desk-toy screen, "Desk Toys · Momentum": a chrome Newton's cradle stands on a dark walnut desk under a lamp off to the upper left, five mirror balls hanging on V strings from a brushed-steel frame on a smoked-steel base. Each ball reflects the room (lit wall above, a curved dark horizon, the warm desk below), the lamp's window as four tiny panes and its neighbours as dark mirrored discs, and casts a soft contact shadow that blurs as it rises. Pull a ball, or two or three, sideways and let go: the swing passes through the still balls, the same number leaves on the other side, a light click at every collision. A card below reads the session ("Ready", "Pulling back", "7 collisions") and an energy meter that drains 3 % per hit.
