Photo Vortex Morph
Forty small photos (fashion editorials, film stills, gallery rooms and interiors) on an off-white sheet that morph between five layouts, every card travelling on its own spring a beat after its neighbour and tumbling a little on the way. They open as a vortex: a ring of overlapping portrait cards, each turned past its spoke like the petals of a flower around a small hole, turning slowly. Then they burst into a drift of little cards floating in depth, near ones larger, the whole field turning slowly; gather into a single neat stack in the middle; fan into a horizontal strip of thin slivers with the last card open in full; and settle into a five-by-eight grid laid edge to edge over the whole screen. Small tracked capitals at the top read "Kinetic Archive" and the layout's number, "01 / 05"; the layout's name and a line about it sit at the bottom left with "Tap to morph" at the right, all set in white with a difference blend so they read dark on paper and light on photos.
