Pluck String Harp
A small harp drawn in warm varnished wood stands in a dark room: a carved column with gilt rings, a swan-necked neck and a tapering soundbox, with eight strings tuned to C major, the longest on the left. Dragging across the strings plucks them: each one catches on the finger, bends into a sharp V, then slips free and rings as a glowing standing wave, its vibration a faint golden blur that brightens the string and the room and fades as it dies, while the strings beside it shimmer in sympathy. The note's name rises from where it was plucked in an italic serif and fades, and the fingertip leaves a short trail of light, so a fast strum sweeps a wave of glow across the harp.
