Pull Cord Light
A dark bedroom at dusk, the photo graded to cool night blue, with a drawn pendant lamp hanging from the ceiling: a matte dome shade, a glass bulb and a pull cord with a wooden bead, simulated as a rope of links. Pulling the cord down stretches it; letting go past the click switches the lamp on: the bulb glows, a warm cone of light fades in under the shade and the same room comes up in lamplight with a soft flicker, brightest where the cone lands, while the cord bounces and swings. Pull again to switch it off. The lamp itself can be grabbed and swung, and the cone and the pool of light sweep the room with it. "Lights off" and "Lights on" crossfade at the bottom.
