Spring Letters
The word BOUNCE in big candy-coloured letters stands on a peach floor in front of a lilac wall, each letter a glossy extruded block casting a soft shadow on the floor. Every letter is a rigid body on springs, chained to its neighbours: drag one and it follows the finger with a lag and swings from where it was held while the letters beside it are tugged up like a necklace; let go and it is thrown, lands, bounces and rocks back into its slot. A flick up from the floor makes every letter jump in a wave, and a double tap swaps the word: the letters shrink and turn away as the next word (SPRING, WOBBLE, JIGGLE) drops in letter by letter and bounces into place.
