Magnify Dock
A desktop-style dock of seven invented apps over a blue-hour mountain wallpaper: four ridges fading into the haze under a sky that warms towards a low sun, with the date and a bold "9:41" in the sky. The dock is frosted glass with a lit rim and a soft shadow. Each icon is drawn in layers on a squircle like a real app icon: Postbox (an envelope on blue), Margin (a ruled notepad with a yellow band), Hum (a double note on red), Wayfare (a little map with a river, roads and a pin), Lumen (a camera lens on graphite), Fairweather (a sun behind a cloud) and Workshop (a steel gear). Sliding a finger along the dock swells the icons near it on a smooth falloff, pushing their neighbours apart, with one dark name popover that glides from icon to icon over the one under the finger, resizing to each name as the names cross-fade; a tap launches an app with two bounces and a running dot under it; a long press sets the icons wiggling with a Done button, and an icon can then be dragged to a new place in the row.
